The 2012 EKU United Way Blitz has begun!

Shortly, each of you will receive your packet and pledge materials. Despite the relative good fortune in our community, many of our neighbors are having a difficult time. Mark Love of the Salvation Army in Richmond has indicated that requests for service are up 30 percent over last year and their Healthy Meals on Saturday program has served more than 7,000 meals this year.

We need your help now more than ever! Your contribution will fund 61 programs in 40 agencies that serve Madison County residents. These include the Salvation Army, Project Read, Surgery on Sunday, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, the Bluegrass Domestic Violence Program, and the Boy and Girl Scouts.

It is not the amount, but the fact that we all participate. Please do your part to help.

Now through late January
